When designing our chess pieces, we aimed for a unique yet familiar feel that players trust. We wanted functional works of art—considering size, weight, surface finish, and color carefully.

After 500+ hours of CAD design and multiple iterations, we found something extraordinary. Experience the Ugly Chess signature pieces and understand what sets them apart.

We meticulously color, mix, pour, and finish all our pieces by hand. This process gives each set a unique coloring, making it special to the owner.

Whether a piece falls off the table or gets shuffled in its bag, there is no need to worry. We spent months choosing materials and perfecting the surface finish to ensure our pieces withstand the test of time.
